Greenish-straw color. Intense, youthful nose of grapefruit, lemon and pepper. Delicious, with medium body and a penetrating finish.
50% Verdejo, 50% blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Viura from 94 acres of vineyards including some which are un-grafted 90-year-old Verdejo vines. All the vineyards are located in the town of La Seca, which is considered by the locals to be the "grand cru" village of Rueda. - Wine Maker
(50% Verdejo, with Sauvignon Blanc and Viura) Pale chartreuse. Strikingly perfumed scents of pure lemon, lime, flowers and dusty minerals. Clean, finely etched citrus and green apple flavors stain the palate and become richer with air, taking a turn to kiwi and poached pear. The lime note repeats strongly on the brisk, penetrating finish. This is an outstanding value that matches up well with dozens of Loire Valley wines costing two or three times the price. - Steven Tanzer
In cooler vintages like 2007, this white blend from Bodegas Naia excels. It gets going with pear, apple and light, leesy aromas in front of a citrusy palate that is a knock-off for varietal Sauvignon Blanc. Flavors of grapefruit, lime and gooseberry should be familiar, and the crisp fresh-lettuce finish is a winner. Good stuff for the money. - Wine Enthusiast 'Top 100 Best Buys of 2009'
